Breast Cancer Care

We have been asked to clarify the nature of this Charity Event.

The cost and expenses of the event on terms of the hall costs etc will be met by donations from the teachers and retailers.

The money raised by the competition, ATC swap, ticket monies etc will be donated this time to Breast Cancer Care.
for detaills of what these mavellous people do check out their site http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/

The Beverley Scrappers have supported this charity before but not in this format. We have had one event similar to this one to raise money for the Radio Humberside Making Waves appeal. On that day alone we donated £300 to that fund, We also donated to this and other charities at other events.

A number of people wanted to support the Charity but were unable to attend the event this was the reason for the competition and ATC swap being proposed., so that more people could enjoy crafting and supporting the charity at the same time.

If you have questions please email beverleyscrappers@googlemail.com

Thanks for clarifying that. I'm thinking what to make and will be rummaging through my pink stash shortly! Good luck with the craft day and hope you raise lots of money.

I went to the memorial hall event and had a great time. There was plenty to see and do - the make and takes were great. If I remember rightly radio humberside were there and the presenter got roped in to make a card - it was great fun. There was plenty to look around and spend the cash on, whilst raising money for the lifeboats. I hope this event for another worthwhile charity is just as good.I'm sure it will be.
